The US State Department allocated $25 million for the return of children abducted by the Russian Federation

A new US program aims to help identify, return and rehabilitate Ukrainian children and teenagers who have been “forcibly removed or otherwise kept away from their families and communities,” it said.

The text does not indicate the role of the aggressor country Russia, which kidnaps Ukrainian children.

First Lady of Ukraine Elena Zelenskaya said that within the framework of the Bring Kids Back UA program, 2,048 children abducted by the Russian Federation have already been returned to Ukraine, the Office of the President of Ukraine indicates.

“However, thousands are still in Russian captivity, separated from loved ones, without communication, without reliable information, in an atmosphere of intimidation and deception. Only the cooperation of all concerned, as well as the efforts of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, can speed up salvation and justice,” the wife of the head of state emphasized.
