FCSB – Petrol 3-1. Gigi Becali (67 years old), the owner of FCSB, spoke again about the appointment of the new team coach, after the technical bench was now led by the interim Lucian Filip, with the departure of Mirel Rădoi to Turkey, after only 5 matches.

Becali appointed Mihai Stoica to find the man to take over the reins of the team and take it to Europe, but talks are still ongoing. Becali, known for the way he gets involved with the team and the decisions he makes, most of them over the coach, now says he is ready to give up the public outings announcing the team and the changes just to reach an agreement with the new coach.

Even if he were to direct everything from behind the scenes, the boss promised not to reveal any more details on TV, so that at least complacently it would seem that the new A1 has full power in the team.

Gigi Becali makes promises on the way to finding a new coach

“What do I do now? I need a coach. Either he comes now for two months, or in a few weeks for a month. He can become a great coach, continue if we qualify for the Conference League.

Romanian and foreign coaches with names said: they meet the requirements, just never say the team before the match and don't talk. If the man tells me like this: 'You make the team and the changes, but you don't say and you don't talk on TV', I slap him and keep my word.

I told MM too, but you guys say I'm crazy. MM finally understood: 'Mihai, I'm putting a coach to prayer'. I will do after prayer. I can't explain it to you. There are many on the list! Both Romanians and foreigners. I'm going to church, please. Not that you pray for the coach, but for him to give you a good thought”, said Gigi Becali after the match on Friday evening, on the show “Digi Sport Special”.
