Rainbow Tours shares the profits. High dividend despite problems in the Middle East

Rainbow Tours is the third largest travel agency in Poland in terms of the number of tourists served, after Ithaca and TUI Poland, usually competing with Coral Travel for third place. And just like in the case of the others, when the US and Israel launched their attack on Iran, there was anxiety in their headquarters. Many tourist routes had to be excluded from the offer for some time and some tourists had to be turned back.
However, Rainbow Tours' results had already started to deteriorate. In the fourth quarter, the company earned net PLN 14.6 million, which was result by 42 percent lower year on year and by 34 percent lower than the consensus forecasts collected by PAP. Revenues increased by 11 percent year-on-year. up to PLN 804 million.
Despite the decline in profits at the end of the year, on Thursday the management board proposed a dividend of PLN 125.1 million, which would give PLN 8.60 per share. This is almost half of the profit achieved by the Rainbow Group last year. From the profit for 2024, the payment amounted to PLN 160.1 million, i.e. PLN 11 per share (part of it was paid in advance in December 2024). The dividend has fallen, but is still high. However, the stock exchange reacted negatively. The shares are falling by over 3 percent, and for a while they were even quoted below PLN 130.
Increase in the number of customers
“The number of customers who used the Rainbow Tours offer in 2025, including customers who used the hotel offer of the subsidiary White Olive and the offer of tourist trips carried out by the subsidiary Paralela 45 Turism, is approximately 992,000 people, which is an increase in the number of customers by approximately 20.7% compared to the data for the comparative period of 2024,” enumerates president Maciej Szczechura in a letter to shareholders.
The fourth quarter may have been disappointing, but the consolidated result of the Rainbow Tours Capital Group for the financial year 2025 amounted to a net profit of PLN 257 million 565 thousand. zloty. “It is the Group's second highest result in historywhich we are proud of,” writes the president.
Why the second and not the first in history if tourist traffic is growing so much? An important event in the Rainbow group was the commencement of investment and the purchase of 70 percent. shares under Romanian law Paralela 45 Turism SRL, one of the most recognizable and respected tourism companies in Romania, operating since 1990.
“The company operates in the tour operator industry and deals with the organization of group and individual tours, airline, hotel and transport reservations, as well as the sale of holiday packages to popular destinations and the organization of trips in Romania and neighboring countries in the 'incoming' sector,” describes the president of Rainbow Tours.
“Starting from the date of taking over control of Paralela 45, the Parent Company started and is carrying out investment and restructuring processes in Paralela 45, planned for the long term. At the end of 2025, the legal form of the subsidiary in question was changed and Paralela 45 was transformed into a joint-stock company,” we read further.
Rainbow problems in the Middle East
The president also calculates the costs that the company incurred due to the outbreak of the war.
“We incurred in early March 2026 costs estimated at approximately PLN 5 millionrelated to the evacuation of customers staying in the region at the outbreak of the conflict using special charter flights, changing the programs of some events, canceling some planned events with a later departure date (in the region and with transfers within it), changing accommodation, etc.,” describes President Szczechura.
“Additionally, due to unrealized (cancelled) tourist events in this region or tourist events on destinations served by airports in the Persian Gulf region, there are so-called opportunity costs in the form of unrealized margin on tourist products, the total of which the company estimated its size in March 2026 at approximately PLN 3 million“- we read further.
The company excluded the countries of the region from its tourist offer. The CEO assessed that the situation in the Middle East on the date of publication of the financial report does not have a significant impact on the group's operations, because the company's offer still covers several dozen destinations.
“In 2026, as in 2025, the company is also focusing on the development of business segments generating the highest margin, i.e. so-called 'exotic' trips and sightseeing tours, taking into account the need to make appropriate adjustments to the offer program of trips and tours sold in connection with the political and economic situation in the Middle East at the end of February 2026,” concluded the president of Rainbow Tours.
