In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a change in mobile communication tariff turned out to be an imposed purchase on a man.
Rospotrebnadzor said that a resident of Yeniseisk decided to change his tariff, but the salon consultant said that this is only possible when purchasing any goods. To quickly resolve the issue of changing the tariff, the man agreed to purchase a “smart” set-top box, paying 4,999 rubles for it.
At home, the man told his relatives about the situation and realized that he had been forced into an unnecessary purchase. This guess was confirmed by the mobile operator — changing the tariff is free of charge.
The communication store where the defrauded buyer contacted refused to cancel the purchase and return the money, so the man turned to Rospotrebnadzor for help. Specialists helped to file a claim. Only after this the demands were satisfied.
