Following the risk assessment, the authorities determined that there was imminent danger, and three temporary protection orders were issued. The checks showed that the man was a legal owner of hunting weapons.

To implement the measures, the police, supported by SAS fighters, went to his home in Hangu. When they arrived at the door of the building and asked them to open, after the legal summons, the man would have fired several shots at the intervention forces.

Then the SAS fighters retaliated and fired at him, seriously wounding the man. Medical crews were called to the scene, but unfortunately, he was declared dead.
