
The long-awaited May holidays are just around the corner. This means that it’s time to think about the most important dish of spring and summer – barbecue.
But how to marinate meat if time is running out and guests are already on the way? Express marinade will come to the rescue. The kebab will turn out incredibly tender, spicy and juicy. Tasty even without sauce. The recipe was shared by the channel “Fork. Spoon. Chopsticks” (18+).
Ingredients for marinade for 1 kg of meat:
- fine salt – 3 tbsp. l.;
- warm water – 1 l.;
- garlic – 2 cloves;
- onion – 1 pc.;
- cumin seeds, black pepper, lemon zest, ginger – to taste.
Completely dissolve the salt in warm water. Add all the dry spices, lemon zest and chopped garlic cloves to a bowl of salted water. Cut the onion into half rings and put it in the marinade.
Place the chopped meat in a bowl with the marinade and mix it well with your hands. Leave for 15-30 minutes.
Important! After exactly 30 minutes, be sure to drain the marinade! If you overcook the meat, it will become too soft.
This marinade is great for pork and chicken. If you want to marinate beef in this way, keep it in the marinade longer – 40-45 minutes.
