The Interfax-Ukraine agency wrote with reference to a source in the SBU that this base is part of the system of the Federal State Reserve Agency of Russia (Rosreserv) and is intended for storing large amounts of fuel.
“The city of Rybinsk is a large transit and logistics hub, and the Temp fuel base itself is an important link in the storage and distribution of petroleum products (…),” noted a source in the SBU, adding that video recordings show that after the UAV hits, a large fire broke out at the facility.
