Vincent Kompany (40), the coach of Bayern Munich, categorically rejected the possibility of working as a TV analyst during the World Cup in the summer. The technician prefers to dedicate the vacation period to family and rest.

The information was originally published by the Dailymail. English journalists wrote that the Belgian coach refused several offers to comment on the final tournament in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

Vincent Kompany vehemently refuses to become analyst at this summer's World Cup: 'No chance'

Asked about this topic at the press conference ahead of the German Cup semi-final with Bayer Leverkusen, Kompany offered a clear answer: “Not a chance.”

The coach then detailed, in a relaxed tone, the reason for the decision. “What should I do as a TV analyst when I'm on vacation? Otherwise, next year I have no family in Munich! I'd be left without a family, so no chance.”

The decision comes after a demanding season. Bayern are still in the running for all the trophies and Kompany wants to recharge his batteries and spend quality time with his family. The daily schedule, with long training hours and constant travel, does not often give him this possibility.

At the same time, the World Cup period coincides with the planning of the team for the next season. The club is looking at possible transfers and Kompany's role is essential.

Over the weekend, Bayern Munich won their 35th league title after beating Stuttgart 4-2 at home.

The away match against Leverkusen in the semi-finals of the German Cup has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, starting at 21:45.

It's wonderful. For me, each title is like the first. We have to be happy, because there is an enormous amount of work behind it, not only from this season.

The season is not over yet. We still have trophies to win!
