Loredana Marin, a European Youth Champion, announced on Monday that she is withdrawing from the professional box at only 22 years old.
The announcement came through a message published on social networks, in which it was dissatisfied with the way it was treated by the Romanian state.

“Today I make a definitive decision: I'm leaving Box. Years of work, sleepless nights, stress, pain and renunciation, all have been ignored. I stayed away from my family for months, I sacrificed everything for this sport, for this dream, but my sacrifice did not matter.
For almost a year I had no activity contract, the club prizes have not received for almost 5 years, and from the ministry they have not even been discussed for almost a year.. I worked with my soul, squeezed my teeth and gave my best. And yet, our effort is worth nothing.
There were times when I suffered a lot. I had tears in my eyes and I couldn't tell anyone, not even my mother, after every lost match. Each defeat down, but I always got up, I tried, I hoped and I fired, because without support you can get anywhere.
Besides all this, we do not even have personal life. We don't have time for us. We cannot earn money in other ways to support our dream. We have no right to anything. We have to stay and swallow what we are told and do everything just how they want“Loredana Marin wrote on Instagram.
The Romanian sport lives from empty promises. We, the athletes, break in the ring and pay for the price in lost nights, stress and sacrifices. You, those who lead the sport, have transformed our passion and effort into carelessness. Today I say stop. I say goodbye to the box and my dream. Without respect, without support, without recognition, I can no longer continue.

Loredana Marin was a component of the national boxing group of Romania. She is a European youth boxing champion and the European Vice -Champion of U22 from Uirecia, Croatia, in 2022, and from Budva, Montenegro, in 2023.

The beautiful sportswoman also revealed what messages she receives from men.
“I have often been asked why I do box, why I didn't start modeling. I don't answer them, because I don't really sit on social networks. Even if I'm more feminine, you can live in the men of men,” Loredana Marin told Sportsnet.ro.
