I stretch the back of my head and my neck stops aching: 4 minutes a day and I walk without slouching

Many people notice that by the evening the neck seems to be filled with lead, and the head seems too large for the body. Often the reason is not fatigue, but that the muscles of the back of the head and upper back are under constant tension from sitting for a long time. Because of this, blood flow is disrupted and breathing becomes shallow. There is one simple self-massage technique that relieves this tension without rollers, oils or a trip to a specialist. It awakens sensitivity and restores lightness to the look.

How to do it:

  • Sit comfortably, back straight, shoulders down.
  • Use the pads of your thumbs to find the base of the skull.
  • Make gentle circular motions in a clockwise direction for 30 seconds.
  • Then press a little harder and hold for 10 seconds until you feel a slight warmth.
  • Repeat the same counterclockwise.
  • Finally, move your palms from your ears to your collarbones, as if you are washing away fatigue.

Perform this self-massage in the morning after waking up or in the evening before going to bed. 4 minutes is enough.

After just a few days, you will notice: you less want to lift your chin to “unload” your neck. Your head feels lighter, your vision clearer, and your breathing becomes deeper because your chest is no longer constricted by tense muscles.
