In Krasnoyarsk, construction of two schools and reconstruction of the main Right Bank Avenue will begin in 2026

The Department of Urban Development of Krasnoyarsk spoke about plans for 2026.

Preparations have already begun for the construction of two schools: in Solnechny (on Sokolovskaya Street) for 1,100 places and Vetluzhanka (on Elena Stasovaya Street) for 1,280 places. Bidding for them has already taken place, contractors are already fencing off the sites and bringing in construction camps. Delivery of the facilities is scheduled for 2027.

Deputy head of the city – head of the urban planning department Sergei Shikunov recalled that in 2024 two schools were completed – in Solnechny and Severny, and in 2025 schools were opened on Omskaya and Vzletnaya streets.

“We continue to keep up the pace. This summer we plan to commission a school in Tikhye Zorya for 1,550 places, and at the same time we are working with a contractor to commission a school in Michurinskoye by the end of the year. Both objects are long-awaited for residents; Krasnoyarsk residents cannot be let down,” said Sergei Shikunov.

Also in 2026, they will begin to look for a contractor to reconstruct the avenue named after the newspaper “Krasnoyarsky Rabochiy” from Predmostnaya Square to Kapitanskaya Street. They plan to expand the site to 3 lanes, and a three-meter pedestrian zone will be equipped. The department emphasized that this project is being implemented as part of the city’s preparations for the 400th anniversary.

In the Kirovsky district, construction of a new road will begin, which will connect Aprilskaya Street with Volzhskaya and Kutuzov Streets. This will ensure transport accessibility of the new school, as well as to create a second exit from the microdistrict. Documentation for the start of bidding is already being prepared.

On the left bank of the Yenisei, reconstruction of Bogotolsky Lane will begin in the spring. The contractor was NBS-Siberia LLC, the contract has already been signed. The road will connect Kopylova Street with Novosibirskaya Street, which will significantly improve the transport situation in the area.

Another construction project in the Zheleznodorozhny district is an elevated pedestrian crossing over the railway tracks in the area of ​​Krasnomoskovskaya Street. It will connect the new school built on 8 March Street and Dorozhnaya Street. While the site for the facility is just being prepared, the garages are being purchased.

In the Sovetsky district, reconstruction of Molokova Street is planned in connection with the construction of a metro station. At the first stage, the repairs will take place on the section from Shakhtyory to Baturyn. The number of traffic lanes will remain the same – three in each direction, but there will be rails in the middle of the road: along Shakhtyorov the rolling stock will go underground, and on Molokova it will “surface” outside.

“Also, in preparation for the city’s anniversary, the construction of a backup road for the Yenisei Highway continues – from the street. Aviatorov to st. Sokolovskaya. Currently, the contractor, PC DSU, is excavating soil to form the base of the road. The length of the highway will be 4.5 kilometers, the number of lanes will vary from 4 to 6. The facility should be ready at the end of 2027,” the department said.

In the summer, work will begin on the reconstruction of Molodezhny Avenue in Solnechny – from house No. 31 to the street. Preobrazhenskaya. This will allow the new road to be connected to the avenue and thereby relieve the load on the Yenisei Highway.

In the Oktyabrsky district, this year they plan to complete the construction of roads in the area of ​​Kalinina Street near school No. 159.
