According to the Presidential Administration, the consultation schedule is as follows:
09:00 – Social Democratic Party (PSD)
10:30 – National Liberal Party (PNL)
15:00 – Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR)
16:30 – Parliamentary Group of National Minorities
18:30 – Save Romania Union (USR)
The consultations take place in the context of the constitutional obligations of the head of state regarding the dialogue with the parliamentary formations.
We remind you that the liberals met today, at 10:00 a.m., in a key meeting, after PSD voted massively to withdraw political support for Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. Inside the party, the signals are of support for the current prime minister, despite growing tensions in the ruling coalition.
PNL leaders are going to request the resignation of Sorin Grindeanu from the position of president of the Chamber of Deputies, according to political sources quoted by Adevărul. Grindeanu holds the third position in the state following the political negotiations that were the basis for the formation of the Bolojan government last summer.
