iPhone owners suffered from phone locking after iOS update

April 21 10:42
iPhone owners have encountered problems after updating the operating system. Service centers have recorded a sharp influx of customers with devices that have turned into “bricks.”
The problem occurred after installing iOS 26.4.1. According to repair specialists interviewed by Vestnik of the Surgut Region, the reason lies in the third-party Telega application, which people downloaded as an alternative to Telegram. After the update, the system tries to remove this program, but the process fails and the phone freezes. No manipulation of the buttons helps.
The only solution is to completely reflash the device. The cost of the service varies from 1500 to 2500 rubles.
Telega developers deny the accusations. They claim that phone locking is not related to their app and refer to Apple's official documentation. Apple claims that all applications run in an isolated environment – a sandbox, which limits their access to files of other programs and does not allow changes to the system. However, many tech bloggers advise against downloading Telega.
