The children's procession will take place on Tatyshev Island

On May 31, a festive procession will take place on Tatyshev Island: 500 young Krasnoyarsk residents of different nationalities will take part in it.
The holiday is dedicated to Children's Day and the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. The procession will include children from creative groups of the city and national-cultural autonomies, as well as kindergarten students and school students.
“The guys will perform in traditional clothes of the Dolgans and Evenks, and will present unusual headdresses of the Tuvans and Buryats. Thanks to children and teenagers, Krasnoyarsk residents will get acquainted with the colorful outfits of the peoples of the Volga region, the Caucasus and neighboring countries. A special place will be occupied by the demonstration of Russian folk images. Young participants will show how the many faces of Krasnoyarsk live in harmony, and childhood remains a common holiday for everyone, regardless of nationality,” the mayor’s office noted. — Today, representatives of more than 130 ethnic groups with their own traditions and customs live in Krasnoyarsk. Such events help citizens better understand each other and respect the culture of those around them“
The children's procession starts on the eastern side of the island at 13:00 and ends with a round dance of friendship between peoples. Then entertainment venues will be open until 21:00.
