Racism in the eyes of the world » Horrible messages displayed one after another by Olteni, without censorship
The derby between University of Craiova and Rapid Bucharest, contested at the “Ion Oblemenco” stadium, was overshadowed by several racist messages displayed by Olten supporters.
From the first minutes of the game, the hosts' gallery displayed several offensive banners and insulting messages to the opponents from Giulești, while racist chants were also heard from the lawn. The tense atmosphere led to repeated interventions by the organizers.

The stadium announcer had to broadcast two official messages until the 20th minute, at the request of law enforcement and the game observers. He asked to stop the use of lasers and whistles, especially in the area of the Second Stand, where there were groups of active supporters.
However, some of the displayed banners remained visible throughout the game.
Among the racist messages displayed by the Craiova University gallery were:

An ironic message was also displayed, “'Cherry devils' have arrived… did Şucu pay for the road?”a reference to the famous “failure” given by a faction of the Rapid gallery, which called itself “Cherry Devils”. It was happening in the early 2000s.
