Over three months, transportation of coal for export from Khakassia in the eastern direction increased 2.7 times

From January to March 2026, almost 1 million 700 thousand tons of coal were sent for export from the stations of the Krasnoyarsk Railway in Khakassia in the eastern direction. This is 2.7 times more than in the same period last year.
83% of solid fuel was shipped to the sea ports of the Far East (1 million 440 thousand tons, an increase of 3.4 times from January to March 2025). Basically, transportation was carried out in the direction of the Soviet-Havana transport hub.
The export shipment of republican coal to the east through land border crossings amounted to I quarter 297 thousand tons.
At the same time, transportation increased in the direction of three border crossings: Nizhneleninskoye – Tongjiang (134.9 thousand tons shipped, with an increase of 76% by January – March 2025), Grodekovo – Suifenhe (118.7 thousand tons shipped, +31%) and Kamyshovaya – Hunchun (shipped 33.3 thousand +68%).
Let us note that during the winter months of this year, railway workers and coal miners in Siberia worked in difficult weather conditions. In January, coal was shipped during extreme frosts, and in February during periods of heavy snowfall, when the amount of precipitation significantly exceeded the climate norm.
The largest volume of coal export loading to the east at Krasnaya Railway stations in Khakassia was recorded in March – 614.6 thousand tons.
The main transport corridor for exporting coal exports from the region remains the Southern route of the KrasRussian Railway Mezhdurechensk – Abakan – Taishet.
