Salvamont's warning for tourists going to the mountains in Braşov

Tourists who want to climb the mountain in the coming days are advised by the mountain rescuers from Brașov to avoid traveling in narrow valleys, in areas where floods can occur, as well as near steep slopes, in the conditions in which a code of warning for rain and strong wind is in force.
Salvamont Braşov draws attention to the fact that, in conditions where torrential rains are announced in the mountain area for the next two days, the mountain trails can become difficult and dangerous in a very short time:
“Difficulties may arise in movement due to mud, and at altitude it is possible that the snow cover becomes more wet. This may favor the occurrence of long-distance runoff, including within the forest floor, on bends and bumps that continue into the alpine gap. We recommend avoiding travel on exposed routes, in narrow valleys, in areas with torrents, bumps or bend crossings, as well as near slopes Tourists are also advised to adapt their route and program according to the weather, to constantly follow the forecasts and to abandon the ascents if there are signs of a storm.
The meteorologists have issued a warning that also covers the mountainous area of Brasov and which announces periods of increased atmospheric instability, torrential downpours, electrical discharges, intensification of the wind and, isolated, hail. In the mountains, gusts can reach 60–80 km/h, and visibility can drop rapidly during showers.
