European countries have just received bad news from the US regarding the armaments they have paid for

US officials have informed their European counterparts that some previously contracted arms deliveries are likely to be delayed as the war in Iran continues to deplete arms stocks, three sources familiar with the situation told Reuters on Thursday.
The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the discussions are not public, said several European countries would be affected, including some in the Baltic region and Scandinavia.
Some of the weapons in question have been purchased by European countries under the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program but have not yet been delivered, the sources added.
Those deliveries are likely to be delayed, the sources said.
The White House, Pentagon and State Department did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for official views.
