The police in Timiș reported themselves after the appearance of a post on Facebook in which a person claimed to be collecting money to assassinate President Nicușor Dan.
In the text published online, the user announced that he was organizing a fundraiser for the assassination of Nicușor Dan, stating that “every lion counts”, informs Pagina de Timiș, which published a screenshot of the message.
Several people seemed to support the move in the comments section.
The police are now looking for the person who made the post. IPJ Timiș stated for Europa FM that it has self-reported and that checks are being made in this case.
“Considering the images that appeared in the public space on a social network, in which a young man posted that he would organize a fundraiser for the assassination of a public official, we inform you that the IPJ Timiș police officers have notified themselves ex officio and are conducting checks in order to establish the factual situation and take the necessary legal measures”, the representatives of the Timiș IPJ, quoted by Ziarul Unirea, said.
