First marriage – for love
Pugacheva’s first husband was the Lithuanian artist Mykolas Orbakas. They married on October 8, 1969 and divorced in 1973. In 1971, their daughter Christina was born.
At the time of registration of the marriage, Pugacheva was 20 years old, and her husband was 24. In a comment to the Ukrainian publication “Korotko Pro” in 2015, Orbakas admitted that he was grateful to his ex-wife for his daughter.
“Alla and I met in the spring. And a month and a half after we met, we went to work part-time,” he recalled then.
The second marriage is fictitious
For the second time, Pugacheva married Russian director Alexander Stefanovich. This marriage was fictitious. They lived together from 1977 to 1981, and after the scandalous divorce they did not communicate.
“Stefanovich needed registration. To do this, he had to live in Moscow for three years, marry someone. And [советский поэт Леонид] Derbenev advised him, and asked me that we enter into an official marriage,” the singer said in 2025 in an interview with Russian journalist Katerina Gordeeva.
Pugacheva emphasized that at the time of marriage registration she was already a famous artist.
“He was very afraid. What did he say? – “Pugachevochka, I have one idea. They can grab us by the ass for a fictitious marriage.” And then it was really strict. “Let's sit down at the table to write love notes and set dates. How, “why”? This is proof.” I said, “Come on.” We wrote some funny notes to each other. But recently I remembered. I think: “God, what a smart, cunning boy,” the artist shared her memories.
Pugacheva noted that she lived in a fictitious marriage with Stefanovich for exactly three years – they got married on Christmas and got divorced at the same time.
“I did such a good thing to him. Instead of saying thank you, I did everything I could to him. Well, that’s it! The man, knowing that we would get divorced, withdrew all the money from my accounts. And there, excuse me, at that time – 47 thousand. Three Volgas. And after that he led us all to bewilderment by dividing the property,” said the artist.
The singer said that she fought in court for everything that belonged to her. Stefanovich died in 2021 at 76 years old.
Third husband – Evgeny Boldin
From 1985 to 1993, Pugacheva was the wife of Russian producer Evgeny Boldin. In an interview with Gordeeva, the singer called all her fictitious marriages “helping a friend.”
According to the artist, she had not love with Boldin, but friendship; they got along well, but were different people. They were forced to officially register the marriage so that Boldin could travel abroad.
“As the years passed, I saw that he liked completely different women. He is a good guy. The only thing is that I will not forgive him for something,” she noted.
Kirkorov is another fictitious husband of Pugacheva
In 1994, Pugacheva married Russian singer Philip Kirkorov, who is 18 years younger than her. The artist admitted: she did it out of desperation.
“I was gored. My mother, while she was alive, said: “Help Filippik.” His grandmother, who was friends with my mother: “Help Filippik.” This was since I was a teenager. I knew his mother. Victoria was, of course, a great woman,” said Pugacheva. “She had cancer. And she had an insane, simply supernatural love for Philip, which was incomprehensible to me at the time. This is also a special story, because she was dying. I came to her, she plays the cassette for me, and he was singing some song in polka-dot pants, with feathers. She says: “Well, what is this? Well, tell him, tell him something.” When she was already feeling really bad, she said: “I beg you, don’t leave him, help him, be with him, be like a mother to him.”
According to Pugacheva, it’s hard for her to remember that conversation with Kirkorov’s mother.
“When she was taken away for the operation, I remember how she cast her last glance at him. It was very difficult. So somehow they decided that I would help him. I thought that in three years I would raise him,” the singer added.
She explained that she used the marriage for Kirkorov’s PR.
“If they say that he has an affair with Pugacheva, then everyone knows. And I gave him everything I could, to marry Kirkorov. Who is he? How is that? Everyone was talking about it. It immediately attracts attention. The move is primitive, of course, but it worked very well at that time. He cannot be offended by me, I gave him everything I could,” she said.
Found happiness with Galkin
Now the singer is married to Russian showman Maxim Galkin. They got married on December 23, 2011. In an interview with Gordeeva, the artist named Galkin your greatest happiness.
“This is happiness. This is real happiness. I can’t even talk about it. He has an amazing talent – to love me, love my family and take care of me. I still had a lot of marriages,” said the artist.
According to Pugacheva, when she met Galkin, she fell in love.
“I fell in love, and that’s it. I realized that this was what I needed. And he understood. It was strange, sometimes it was even unclear to me how it happened – absolute harmony. We are in some identical families [росли] – Well, I was earlier, of course, he was later, – but we have absolutely the same upbringing, some kind of attitude, nobility. It’s not just about some kind of sexual relationship, but also about friendship, understanding and support,” she said. – What is a family? It's not just sex, right?”
“Do you have a personal life after 50?” – Gordeeva then clarified with Pugacheva.
“Yes. And there are different ways to have fun so that age doesn’t interfere,” Pugacheva answered.
In the same interview with Gordeeva, Pugacheva responded to the rumors spread by Russian propagandists about Galkin, claiming that he is gay.
“Call him a pot, just don’t put it in the oven. What difference does it make? This is their favorite topic. Who isn’t gay now? It just seems like everyone. This one is gay, this one is gay, hey, hey. It doesn’t concern us. Let them say whatever they want. As long as everything is fine with us,” she said.
The couple are raising a son, Harry, and a daughter, Lisa, who gave birth to twins on September 8, 2013, by a surrogate mother.
