Registration for the Pervomaisky half marathon has started in Krasnoyarsk, the mayor’s office said. The race will take place on May 1 on the Central Embankment. Participants will have to cover two distances – 5 km and 21.1 km. The start and finish are planned in the area of the Captain's Club (Dubrovinsky St., 100).
Anyone over 12 years old can take part in the 5 km race; they will have to cover the distance in 60 minutes. The limit is 700 people. Minor runners under 18 years of age will be able to compete for free. To do this, you must provide parental consent and send an application by email: [email protected].
The 21.1 km race will be held among athletes aged 18 years and older in 8 age groups for men and women. Professional runners will have to complete the course in three hours. The limit of participants is 700 people. Preliminary applications and entry fees are accepted until 20:00 on April 28 online on the website and at the “Running Center” on the street. “This year, at the request of the participants, we have increased the number of slots for both distances. The first spring start is always in high demand. Every year the number of participants in city races is growing, this is the most accessible and popular type of physical activity among Krasnoyarsk residents,” said Alexander Kaminsky, head of the main department for physical culture, sports and tourism.
Event program:
- 10:00 – start at 5000 m;
- 10:50 — opening ceremony, awarding of winners and runners-up of the 5 km race;
- 11:00 – start at 21.1 km;
- 14:00 — route closure;
- 14:30 – award ceremony for the winners of the half marathon, closing of the competition.
The distribution of starter packs will take place on April 29 and 30 from 10:00 to 20:00 at the Running Center (Dubrovinsky St., 1zh). If you live in another city and arrive in Krasnoyarsk on the start day, you must first write to [email protected] to receive your package.
Each athlete will receive a souvenir medal at the finish line. The absolute winners at a distance of 21.1 km among men and women will be awarded cups. Winners and prize-winners in age groups at distances of 21.1 will be awarded medals, certificates and cash certificates. The winners and runners-up at the 5 km distance separately among men and women will receive medals and certificates. To receive a prize, you must have your passport or birth certificate with you.
