There are 140 meters left until the completion of the metro tunnel between Vysotnaya and Kopylova (video)

Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov inspected the construction of the metrotram. He visited facilities on Vysotnaya and Kopylova streets.
The tunnel, which began to be built back in the 1990s, is now being worked using the mining method, that is, without shields. There are 140 meters left to go before its completion, then there is another 100 meters to go through the station itself.
A new tunnel is being built nearby; its length has already reached two kilometers. Both tunnels will be connected to the Kopylova station in the future.
An inclined shaft 40 meters deep is being built at the site near Kopylov – an escalator will be located here. The soil is water-saturated, so freezing technology will be used for stability. A dismantling chamber almost 49 meters deep is also being built there. A similar facility was built in Russia only once – in Moscow on the Big Circle Line. Three tunnel-boring shields will come here later.
Work at all sites continues. Construction of the first line requires complex engineering solutions, but is on schedule, Kotyukov emphasizes.
