The PKO BP Group is planning further issues of retail mortgage bonds under the issuance program for up to PLN 10 billion, and will make decisions on specific dates, taking into account the current market situation and liquidity needs – PKO BP President Szymon Midera told PAP Biznes.

“We are pleased with another very successful offer of covered bonds. PKO Bank Hipoteczny is preparing further offers under the issuance program of up to PLN 10 billion over three years. Let me remind you that less than a year has passed since the issuance program was approved. We have said from the beginning that we want to regularly issue further issues, and our ambition is to do it more often than twice a year. We make decisions on specific dates in the Group, taking into account the current market situation and liquidity needs,” Biznes Midera told PAP on the sidelines of the Banking & Insurance Forum.

Subscriptions for mortgage bonds of PKO Bank Hipoteczny ended on Friday. On the first day of the offer, the value of submitted subscriptions exceeded PLN 500 million and due to great interest, the bank increased the offer to PLN 1 billion. The bank reported that retail investors signed up for mortgage bonds worth over PLN 1 billion.

In October 2025, the bank carried out the first issue of covered bonds in almost 100 years, addressed to individual investors, in the amount of PLN 1.155 billion. The issue was carried out as part of the National Covered Bond Issuance Program for the amount of PLN 10 billion. At that time, the retail issue lists included over 5.7 thousand. investors. Since October 29, 2025, they have been listed on the Catalyst market operated by the WSE. (PAP Biznes)
