As it turned out, the work, valued at over half a million euros, was not on the truck at all, which was carrying over 50 other paintings to the south of the country.

According to the website of the public broadcaster RTVE, the carriers forgot about the painting, which belonged to a private owner.

The CajaGranada Foundation reported the disappearance of the master's work from Malaga a few days after realizing that it was not in transit.

According to the police, a parcel left at the door of the building was taken by a woman living next door who thought it was the parcel she was waiting for. She left it unpacked until she heard about the disappearance of the valuable painting.

The exhibition in Granada, which opened on October 10, featured works by artists such as Juan Gris, Maria Blanchard, Rene Magritte, Antonio Lopez and Fernando Botero.
