The Israeli Embassy in Poland reacted to this statement. “We strongly condemn today's anti-Semitic horror in the Polish parliament by MP Berkowicz. On the official Holocaust Remembrance Day in Israel, the Polish MP desecrated the Israeli flag and compared the Jewish symbol and the Jewish state to Nazis, instead of expressing solidarity with the victims of the Holocaust,” we read on Platform X.
“As Holocaust survivors march on Auschwitz today, this heinous anti-Jewish act is particularly shocking. Support for it from other politicians only deepens the shame,” we read further.
At the end, Israeli diplomats make an appeal to the Polish authorities. “The Polish authorities must act immediately to face this disgrace and remove this moral stain,” writes the Israeli embassy.
