For the error, the marketplace will return the cost of the goods to the resident of Norilsk and pay compensation, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor reported.

The woman ordered for “Wildberries” laptop, having paid the full cost (18,429 rubles) and delivery services (776 rubles), but upon receipt at the pickup point, she was given a box in which there was a phone.

“To record the fact of product substitution, the packaging was opened in the presence of an employee at the delivery point and was accompanied by video recording. On the same day, the buyer contacted the marketplace support service with a request for a refund, but it was rejected. Subsequent requests also did not bring results: the second request was refused on the grounds that it was not defective, and in response to the third request, it was recommended to contact the service center and conduct an examination. Due to the lack of complete information about the seller on the site, it was not possible to contact him directly to resolve the dispute. As a result, the victim contacted Rospotrebnadzor, whose specialists assisted her in drawing up a statement of claim,” the Department said.

The court sided with the woman and decided to recover almost 32,000 rubles from RVB LLC in her favor. Of these: the cost of the goods – 18,429 rubles, losses incurred (deliveries) – 776 rubles, moral damages – 2,000 rubles and a fine of 10,602 rubles. The decision has not yet entered into legal force.
