In 2020, the administration entered into a contract with a company that at that time already had many years of experience organizing school meals. However, it turned out that the company violates the legislation of the region, which establishes a fixed price for products and a maximum markup of 13%.

On the instructions of the manager, the chief accountant prepared a menu with an inflated markup and a reduced weight of dishes. The cooks followed these instructions, using less food than required. An examination later established the difference between the declared value and the actual cost – the damage exceeded 860 thousand rubles.

The defendant did not admit guilt, saying that she acted in the interests of the enterprise to pay employees, and called the excess markup a common business practice.

The court found these arguments unconvincing, sentenced her to a fine of 1 million rubles and ordered her to compensate the budget for the damage caused.
