In the Kuraginsky municipal district State traffic inspectors detained a drunk driver with a criminal record for driving while intoxicated.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, at night A traffic police squad stopped a VAZ 21074 car, the driver of which, upon seeing the police, moved to the rear passenger seat.

“During the inspection, traffic inspectors found that in 2022, the driver, being a minor, was brought to administrative responsibility for driving while intoxicated. A year later, he again came to the attention of traffic police officers while drunk and was brought to criminal charges. Then the court sentenced him to 300 hours of compulsory labor. However, this did not stop the young man, and he again got behind the wheel, being drunk. The violator refused to undergo an on-site examination and was sent to a medical institution, where the examination result was 0.17 mg/l,” – the regional police clarified.

Regarding violator compoundor administrative materials for driving an unregistered vehicle, lack of a compulsory motor liability insurance policy and registration documents for the car, as well as driving a vehicle by a driver who does not have a driving license.

Also by police a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Driving a vehicle while intoxicated by a person subject to administrative punishment or having a criminal record.” The man faces up to 3 years in prison.
