Donald Tusk received 8 questions from PiS. This concerns the situation on the border with the Czech Republic

The right of deputies to submit interpellations and parliamentary questions results from the Constitution, which specifies this regulation in the provisions of the Rules of Procedure of the Sejm and the Act on the exercise of the mandate of a deputy and senator. They exercised these rights on April 6 this year. PiS MPs who sent a letter to Prime Minister Donald Tusk. It concerns the Polish border with the Czech Republic.
Opposition politicians took up the issue of the so-called territorial debt that the Czech Republic has towards Poland. This is an issue that dates back to 1958. Back then, Poland and Czechoslovakia signed an agreement that corrected the borders between the countries. The arrangements came into force in February 1959.
PiS MPs write to Donald Tusk. And they ask questions
PiS MPs remind that “on February 17, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the meeting of the heads of diplomacy of Poland and the Czech Republic, during which the issue of territorial debt was discussed. The announcement noted the Czech declaration of significant progress and indicated that the matter could be solved by a joint project serving the borderland residents, e.g. in the field of flood protection. The combination of this information indicates that the topic has been the subject of public activity in the last 12 months, but does not allow for the assessment of the full scope of activities. performed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, nor their measurable results.
Then they share their doubts. “What raises doubts is whether the Republic of Poland is still consistently striving to settle the debt by transferring a specific area of territory, or whether a substitute model in the form of a joint public project is being considered. It is also unclear whether the real division of tasks between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the Chancellery of the Prime Minister and whether, after the response to our interpellation of April 23, 2025, a permanent inter-ministerial coordination mechanism has been launched. The risk is that the matter will continue to be delayed without a timetable, progress measures and clear information for the Sejm of the Republic of Poland about the outcome of the talks. This matter should be a common goal for all Polish politicians and cooperation on this topic should be conducted beyond current political divisions,” the parliamentarians write.
Finally, they ask Prime Minister Donald Tusk eight questions:
