The Bucharest Court admitted the proposal of the prosecutors and ordered the preventive arrest of the former journalist who, on May 20, threw his 7-year-old daughter from the 5th floor, then resorted to the same gesture.

“On 05.06.2025, the prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Court set the criminal action against a defendant (37 years old), investigated for committing the crimes of domestic violence in the method of qualified murder and disturbance of public order and peace.”, It is shown in the statement issued by the Public Ministry.
Accordingly, the judge of rights and freedoms within the Bucharest Court admitted the prosecutors' proposal and ordered the preventive arrest of the defendant for a period of 30 days. The investigations are continued by the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Court and the General Police Directorate of the Municipality of Bucharest – Homicurii Service.
We recall that, on May 20, a former journalist who worked on Romania TV and Realitatea TV, fell from the 5th floor, in Bucharest, together with his 7 -year -old daughter, being taken in critical condition.

The extreme gesture shocked investigators, especially since many knew her. The 37 -year -old woman worked in the press for a long time. “I asked her what happened, what happened, you fell, and he said to me: That's how we considered it two better, ”says the witness, for the observer.
The Public Ministry transmits that the minor victim has undergone surgery, having multiple traumatic injuries, which require about 120 days of medical care and have put his life in danger, his condition being critical.
The child's mother is still admitted to the hospital, in stable condition.
