“Our people are coming home. 175 soldiers. Soldiers of the Armed Forces, members of the National Guard, border guards. Privates, sergeants and officers. And seven civilians,” Zelensky wrote in the Telegram messenger.
According to the president, the Ukrainian soldiers who returned defended the country in various ways, including: in Mariupol and on the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkov, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Sumy, Kiev and Kursk fronts. Many of them were injured and had been in captivity since 2022.
Zelensky thanked all the units who are fighting and bringing closer the return of Ukrainians from captivity. “Bringing everyone back from Russian captivity is crucial for us. I thank everyone in the world who is helping us in this,” the president noted. (PAP)
