Krasnoyarsk residents were given advice on choosing chicken eggs

Specialists from the regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor reminded Krasnoyarsk residents of the benefits of chicken eggs and gave recommendations on their selection and storage.
Eggs are considered one of the most balanced foods: they contain the optimal combination of nutrients, vitamins, microelements and amino acids. This is a complete source of easily digestible protein – about 13 grams per 100 grams of product. This protein helps strengthen bones and muscles, and helps maintain normal blood pressure, brain function, and weight control.
In addition, eggs are rich in choline, which has a positive effect on the nervous system, as well as antioxidants – selenium, lutein and carotenoids. These substances help slow down age-related changes in vision.
In order for a product to bring maximum benefit, it is important to choose it correctly. Rospotrebnadzor specialists advise paying attention to the labeling, production date and expiration date. The shell must be clean and intact – without cracks, blood marks, feathers or dirt.
It is recommended to store eggs in the refrigerator, preferably on a shelf rather than in the door, to avoid temperature changes.
Experts also remind: eggs should be consumed raw, soft-boiled or as fried eggs with caution.
