Activists from the Greater Poland structures of the Razem party started a nationwide campaign in Kalisz to publicly stigmatize party activists who – in their opinion – engage in political corruption. For this purpose, at ul. Legionów in Kalisz, a billboard was put up with the slogan: “Corticism is consuming Kalisz. The Razem Party will cure this disease.”

Against this background, the heads of the Razem party, Adrian Zandberg and Aleksandra Owca, stood at a press conference on Friday. They were accompanied by the chairman of the Greater Poland structures, Adam Jura-Czarnecki, and representatives of the management board of the group's structures in Kalisz.

According to them, Radosław Kołaciński from KO, former hospital director, should resign from his seat as a councilor in Kalisz. A fictitious resignation letter was prepared on his behalf, addressed to the chairman of the city council, and presented to journalists. The content of the letter shows, among other things, that the councilor admits that he has not appeared at city council sessions in recent months, and the prosecutor's office is conducting an investigation into irregularities that allegedly occurred in a hospital in Kalisz when he was its director.

Prosecutor proceedings are underway in the case involving the hospital headed by Radosław Kołaciński. The investigation concerns: the purchase of medicines for approximately PLN 14 million in violation of the Public Procurement Law, investment delays regarding the supply of photovoltaic panels to the facility, lack of supervision over the hospital pharmacy and up to PLN 200,000. PLN monthly remuneration for individual doctors. As the spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Ostrów Wlkp. told PAP on Friday, the investigation was extended until July.

This is, of course, a fictitious resignation. Radosław Kołaciński does not have enough responsibility to resign – reads the content of the annotation at the end of the application. This story – according to Adrian Zandberg – shows a system that is becoming more and more common in local governments, which is pathological and destroys Polish democracy. – It's a mechanism of political corruption. (…) Corridorism in Polish local governments is one of the worst relics of the 1990s, which is high time to say goodbye. We have ready solutions to put an end to political corruption, Zandberg said.

Sheep: PA roceder of political corruption occurs in many local governments

According to Aleksandra Owca, political corruption occurs in many local governments. – Unfortunately, this is not a local matter in Kalisz. This is a practice that takes place all over Poland, she said.

To put an end to it, the Razem party – as it was informed during the conference – proposes introducing a ban on incumbent local government officials taking up positions in units subordinated to cities and communes. According to the group, supervisory boards in local government companies should also be abolished, because ownership supervision by the local government is sufficient to manage such entities.

The head of Razem's Greater Poland structures announced that billboards will appear in other cities in Greater Poland in the coming months.

PAP tried unsuccessfully on Friday to contact Radosław Kołaciński, who has been suspended from the KO councilors' club since October 2025, and at the end of March this year. he resigned as a member of the management board of KO structures in Kalisz due to his health condition.

The head of the KO club in the Kalisz City Council, Magdalena Sekura-Nowicka, told PAP that “the current regulations do not directly regulate the case of a councilor resigning from his mandate.” – Therefore, such a decision rests solely with the person concerned – said Sekura-Nowicka.
