The average value of the health index of Poles is 3.99 – the equivalent of a school grade “minus”.. This is the result of the latest study by Huawei CBG Polska.
The Poles' health index was calculated on the basis of declarations regarding habits, research results and health care, the company said.
Almost half of the respondents (48%) are in the group with good health, and 43%. — at an intermediate level. Only 5 percent Poles are characterized by very good health, and 4 percent — reduced.
this is reflected in everyday experiences – every second of us has recently felt a lack of energy during the day (50%), more than 4 out of 10 people struggle with sleep problems (43%) and irritability (42%) on a daily basis. Moreover, every third Pole gets tired quickly even with basic activities (33%). It is in everyday habits – related to, among others, with exercise, sleep and diet – we can best see the sources of these ailments – we read in Huawei's study.

Every tenth person in Poland does not undertake physical activity at all due to increased heart rate, and 21 percent spends less than 30 minutes a week on this. The largest group of respondents – three in ten people (30%) – exercise between 30 and 90 minutes a week, which is below the recommended minimum level. Every fifth Pole (21%) is physically active for 91-150 minutes. The value of the physical activity index of Poles reaches an average of 3.26 points, which corresponds to the top three in school.

Similar differences are visible in the diet, although the value of the Poles' diet assessment index is even lower and amounts to an average of 3.19 points. The diet of Poles can also be rated as 3 (satisfactory). Almost half of Poles (48%) declare that they try to make good food choices, but they eat unhealthy products several times a week. More than 1 in 5 people (22%) describe their diet as based mainly on nutritious products with minor deviations.
7 percent eat almost exclusively naturally, and only 2 percent Poles follow a strict diet. However, 20 percent of us admit that we usually eat unhealthy foods and consume large amounts of processed food. The average BMI for adult Poles is 25.38, which is equivalent to being slightly overweight. Nearly three out of ten people (28%) have an optimal weight, and another 20% have a slightly higher, but still healthy weight. Poles. 6 percent respondents are underweight. 15% of people are slightly overweight. Poles, 17 percent are overweight, and 15 percent suffers from obesity.
Against this background, sleep is the best, although it is still only sufficient. The index assessing the quality and hygiene of Poles' sleep reaches 3.48 points, which corresponds to a school grade three plus.
