The Distrigaz Sud Retele company announces that it has started, on Saturday, the staged resumption of natural gas supply to customers in the Calea Rahovei area, who meet the technical and safety conditions, specifying that 44 customers have been refueled by 2:00 p.m. According to the quoted source, in the case of 142 customers, the supply could not be resumed because gas losses were detected on the individual or joint use installation belonging to the respective customers, informs News.ro.

According to a press release, on Saturday, October 25, following the verification of the distribution network by the representatives of Distrigaz Sud Rețele, the phased resumption of natural gas supply to customers in the Calea Rahovei area, who meet the technical and safety conditions, began.

By 2:00 p.m., the Distrigaz Sud Networks teams present in the field reached 206 customers, out of the 451 scheduled today. Distrigaz specifies that the resumption of natural gas supply under safe conditions is done individually, for each customer.

Thus, according to Distrigaz Rețele, until 14:00 the supply was resumed for 44 customers, but for 142 customers this could not be done because gas losses were detected on the installation for individual or common use belonging to the customers. Another 20 customers were not present at home, which is why their natural gas supply could not be resumed.

The supply resumption program continues until 8:00 p.m., for customers scheduled for October 25, 2025, the cited source also informs.

The Distrigaz Sud Networks company interrupted the natural gas supply for 1,086 household customers following the strong explosion on October 17, which occurred in the area of Calea Rahovei, in the 5th Sector of the Capital and left three dead and 15 injured, three of them in a very serious condition.

Two floors of an 8-storey block in Sector 5 of the Capital collapsed on October 17 after a powerful explosion. The windows of a nearby high school were broken by the blast of the violent explosion. There were 108 apartments in the affected block, and the firemen ordered the complete evacuation of the tenants as there is a risk of the building collapsing. Tenants have noticed since Thursday that there are gas leaks. Distrigaz says its crews had shut off the gas supply since Thursday, but on Friday after the explosion they found a broken seal on the block's tap.
