The court sent a 17-year-old student from Shushensky College to a specialized institution for theft. The prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory spoke about this.

In October 2025, in the dormitory of the Shushensky Agricultural College, a first-year student found the bank card of his roommate, who had gone home for the weekend. The map lay on the closet shelf unattended.

The guy decided to use other people's money. In the evening, he gave the card to an older friend so that he could buy alcohol in the store, and the next day he independently purchased pies, juices and energy drinks at the neighbor’s expense. The total amount of theft was almost 2 thousand rubles.

The freshman's neighbor noticed the charges on the card and contacted the police. The student returned the money to the victim. However, the court qualified his actions as theft from a bank account (clause “g” of Part 3 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced him to 1 year and 3 months in prison.

The prosecutor, taking into account the guy’s age and the fact that he was previously on preventive registration, but was removed due to correction, as well as the lack of control on the part of the educational institution, asked the court to change the punishment.

As a result, the student was sent to a closed special institution until he came of age. There, in August 2027, the young man will celebrate his 18th birthday.
