BTS member faces 5 years in prison for driving an electric scooter while drunk
Suga from the popular South Korean group BTS was detained for riding an electric scooter while intoxicated. The artist's blood alcohol level was 7 times higher than the norm – 0.227%.
A blood alcohol content of more than 0.08% in Korea is punishable by up to 2 years in prison or a fine of up to 10 million Korean won (630 thousand rubles), a blood alcohol content of more than 0.2% increases the potential penalty to a fine of up to 20 million Korean won or a prison sentence of 2 to 5 years.
