One of the most titled yachtsmen in Russia died in Buryatia – while fleeing from a bear, he tripped over a stone, fell from a cliff into the water and broke his head.
According to Mash, everything happened in Zmeinaya Bay on Lake Baikal. 56-year-old Stanislav P. was traveling by boat with a friend. The men arrived to collect mushrooms and pine cones in the forest – there they were overtaken by a predator. I had to save myself in the water. The yachtsman suffered a fatal bruise, his friend suffered a broken collarbone and is in the hospital.
Stanislav has been involved in sailing for more than 30 years, he has many regalia, including four Baikal cups.
