In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, after the intervention of the prosecutor's office, medical equipment in the Borodino city hospital is being modernized.

According to the regional supervisory authority, surgeons at the medical institution worked on old equipment that did not always withstand modern loads. As a result, patients waited longer than expected for operations, and the quality of care remained in question.

During the inspection, the prosecutor's office discovered serious shortcomings in equipment. In particular, in the operating rooms of the surgical department, the technology is outdated. The lamp was put into operation in 2004, and it almost did not provide the required illumination. In another operating room there was a machine not designed for complex operations on the abdominal cavity or chest.

Also, out of three sterilizers, only one worked – the rest were written off, and the doctors made do with them the entire shift, trying to avoid risks. There was also a lack of anesthesia-respiratory apparatus with ventilation supplying the necessary gases and evaporators. Most of them have fallen into disrepair.

The prosecutor filed a lawsuit so that the departments were brought up to standards and assistance came without delays. The court satisfied the requirements in full. The hospital is now purchasing new equipment.
