The first reaction from the Păcuraru family after CNA maintained its decision to withdraw the Realitatea Plus license: “We'll see you in court”

Alexandra Păcuraru announced that she will not give up the fight against the CNA decision from Tuesday, and the next stages will take place in court. She accused CNA members of being “very rigid” and coming “prepared to reject all arguments”, according to statements quoted by the Realitatea website.

Alexandra Păcuraru is currently AUR vice-president for the Dobrogea region. In the past, he moderated primetime shows at Realitatea Plus. She is the daughter of the businessman Maricel Păcuraru who controls Realitat. The holder of the audiovisual license for Realitatea Plus is the company PHG MEDIA-INVEST SRL, whose sole associate is Daniela Madi Păcuraru, the businessman's wife.

In the statement made after CNA on Wednesday rejected Realitatea Plus' appeal against the license withdrawal, Păcuraru accuses the institution of restricting freedom of expression.

“I felt that I knocked on closed doors. I love God far too much and I respect my faith. I don't want to comment, they will answer for their actions, and those who invoke the fact that they love freedom of expression, but are more concerned that the money from certain fines reach the budget, are wrong”, accused Păcuraru.

She pointed out that the fight will now move to court. Previously, the television's lawyer, Ioan Georgescu, stated that two requests were made in court: to cancel the CNA decision, but also to suspend it, in an attempt to obtain a court date faster.

“We'll see you in court. Keep your heads up, let's keep going and let's not forget why we are Orthodox Christians,” she also declared.

Realitatea Plus remains without a license for non-payment of fines

On Tuesday, April 7, CNA decided to revoke the Realitatea Plus license for 28 fines worth over 600,000 lei, dating back to 2024. The decision was mentioned in Wednesday's meeting.

It is a matter of hours until the Realitatea Plus television station will have to stop its broadcast, said the vice president of CNA, Valentin Jucan, on Wednesday morning, in a dialogue with HotNews. The broadcast must stop when the television received the official notification from the CNA.
