A weak and short-lived impact of the coronal hole on Earth is expected on Friday, while solar activity gradually decreases to 2022 levels.
How it conveys Laboratory of Solar Astronomy IKI RASexperts predict that the impact of the coronal hole will reach the Earth only on Friday.
According to preliminary data, the effect of this phenomenon will be insignificant and will end quickly.
The laboratory noted that at the moment the space weather remains calm, and the geomagnetic situation does not cause concern. Over the past 24 hours, there has been a slight revival on the Sun; several weak flares were recorded, but they did not develop.
According to experts, the main remarkable feature in the latest images of the Sun is another coronal hole. At the same time, scientists emphasize that the situation will not change in the coming days, and there is no need to monitor developments yet. Background solar activity continues to decline and has already reached the level of 2022.
Significant solar activity is expected to continue for several more years, and from the end of 2028 a long period of minimal stellar activity will begin.
