Dusko Vujosevic, last at U-BT Cluj-Napoca, died at the age of 67, according to sportal.blic.rs.
Vujosevic has been facing health problems for a long time, and during the time he worked as a coach at U-BT, he had numerous dialysis sessions in Cluj, being diagnosed with diabetes.
At the end of May 2025, he underwent a kidney transplant operation in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.
Despite the kidney transplant, Vujosevic ended up in hospital in March due to a problem affecting his lungs, heart and kidneys. Specifically, excess fluid from the kidneys remained in his body and this led to pneumonia.
In recent years, Vujosevic's career has been slowed by serious health problems. The long struggle with diabetes led to kidney failure, which is why he retired from the bench and devoted himself to treatment.
In addition to his work at Partizan, Vujosevic managed the national teams of Serbia and Montenegro, Montenegro, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina.
