In a dialogue with Andreea Bodea, director of the “Ion Luca Caragiale” National College, Minister Florin Manole sent a firm message regarding the calendar assumed by the ministry.
“If by April, half way through, you are not invited together with the unions to the talks, it means you are right. You don't even need to ask me to resign, because I am leaving alone”. said Florin Manole, at Antena3.
According to the minister, the Salary Law represents an important milestone in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), and the normative act must be in force by the beginning of summer. “The wage law is a milestone in the PNRR, it must be in force by the beginning of this summer. It should pass Parliament and consultations, including with unions from all professional categories”explained the Minister of Labor.
He stated that, at the level of the ministry, the annexes of the project would be completed by the beginning of March.
“I think that by the first week of March we will finish the appendices to the Salary Law in the ministry. After that, the consultations with the relevant ministries will follow”Manole said.
Deadline: first half of April
The minister warned that, in the absence of the start of consultations with the unions by mid-April, the chances of the law being adopted on time decrease considerably. “If the consultations with the unions did not start in the first half of April, it means that we will not have a chance to pass this law”he stated.
