The fire at the oil depot in Proletarsk, Rostov region, could not be extinguished for more than a day. During this time, 41 rescuers were injured, 25 people were hospitalized, seven of them with burns to their hands and faces – air ambulance. Five are currently in intensive care.
The oil depot began to burn at six in the morning on August 18, after the arrival of a Ukrainian drone. According to locals, the fire reached the tanks, because of this the city was covered in black smoke – people complain that it became difficult to breathe.
Volunteers came to help the rescuers – everyone brought first aid kits, water and essentials. Everything is handed over to the Ministry of Emergency Situations sheep. More information on the fire from our colleagues from Don Mash.
