Serious accident in France: A TGV hit an army truck, at least one person died and 27 were injured

A high-speed TGV train from France collided with an army truck on Tuesday morning at a railway crossing in Noeux-les-Mines, Pas-de-Calais area, according to TF1.
The train mechanic died as a result of the accident, which left at least 27 injured, according to a provisional assessment. The truck driver was seriously injured.
The incident took place at a railway level crossing when a TGV traveling on the Dunkirk-Paris line hit the trailer of an army truck on Tuesday morning.
The TGV, carrying around 250 passengers, derailed after the impact. SNCF has made buses available to evacuate passengers, while rail traffic is interrupted in both directions on the Béthune-Arras line.
Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot announced on X that he would travel to the site accompanied by the president of the French Railways (SNCF), Jean Castex.
