In Krasnoyarsk, 11 athletes reached the final of the City Equestrian Cup

The City Equestrian Cup has ended in Krasnoyarsk. The competition took place at the equestrian sports complex of the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University.
30 athletes from Krasnoyarsk took part in the preliminary races. The 11 strongest participants reached the finals. The tournament was held in the dressage discipline. This is one of the most difficult types of equestrian sports, where accuracy of movements, smoothness of elements and interaction between the rider and the horse are important.
A special feature of the competition was costumed performances. The participants themselves chose the images, costumes and music for their programs. Viewers saw Moana, a Viking, a witch, a bride, a Spanish girl, a hero from the movie “It” and other images. The youngest participant was 14-year-old Valeria Karataeva. She rode a horse named Angara with the “Hawaii” program and won the “Cure Children” group. Winner in the “Team Prize” group. “This year I performed in a costume and to music from my mother’s favorite film, Three Nuts for Cinderella. I prepared for the tournament for a long time. The opponents were strong, but my horse Visconti and I did a great job and eventually won,” said the athlete.
At the opening of the tournament, students of the Agrarian University showed a performance in vaulting. The athletes, together with a horse named Lilu, demonstrated elements of equestrianism, acrobatics and gymnastics. Free pony rides and activities with toy horses were also organized for young guests.
Earlier, Krasnoyarsk Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin announced the reconstruction of the city hippodrome for the 400th anniversary of the city.
