The Pilgrimage of Flowers organized by the Romanian Patriarchate and the Archdiocese of Bucharest is taking place on Saturday afternoon in the Capital.
Patriarch Daniel welcomed the faithful and said the blessing prayer for the pilgrims.
The first part of the column of hierarchs, priests and believers from Bucharest and Ilfov county, but also from the country, arrived at the Patriarchal Cathedral.

The procession began at the National Cathedral, where the service of Vespers took place and the consecration of the willow branches, which were then offered to the faithful present.
At around 16:15, the participants set off on the established route to the Patriarchal Cathedral.
At this time, the pilgrims are on the route that includes Strada Izvor, Calea 13 Septembrie, Bulevardul Libertății, Piata Constituetiei and Bulevard Unirii, with stops at the Chapel of the National Cathedral and the Brancoven Cross at the base of Bucuria Hill.
According to the program announced by the organizers, the faithful will arrive at the Patriarchal Cathedral at around 5:45 p.m., where the faithful will be greeted by Blessed Father Daniel, the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church, who will consecrate the icon of the feast of the 'Entering of the Lord into Jerusalem', say the blessing prayer for the pilgrims and give a word of instruction.
Traffic restrictions in Bucharest
The religious procession on Saturday brought changes in the road traffic in the center of Bucharest, writes B365.ro.
The route includes Strada Izvor, continuing on Calea 13 Septembrie and passing through Libertății Boulevard and Constituției Square.
The Bucharest Road Brigade will apply dynamic traffic restriction measures along the entire route.
The police recommend Bucharest drivers to avoid the perimeter adjacent to the event and to use the following detour routes:
Panduri Road – Thudor Vladimirescu Bldg – Viilor Road.
Panduri Road – Str. Prof. Dr. Iosif Rainer – Bd. Heroes – Bd. Heroes Sanitari – Splaiul Independentei.
