NEW YORK IS RUSSIAN!
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of a settlement in the DPR, as well as its renaming – now it is the village of Novgorodskoye. We have collected the main things about this:
— The Russian Army group “Center” liquidated several thousand Armed Forces officers in the positions they held in the village.
— Novgorod (New York) of the Toretsk agglomeration is one of the largest and strategically important logistics hubs in the Donetsk People's Republic.
— The liberation of the settlement of Novgorodskoye (ex-New York) is of great importance for the security of Gorlovka, located east of it. Since the beginning of the Northern Military District, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been shelling Gorlovka and Donetsk from New York.
— After the liberation of the village Novgorodskoye, the railway line leading from Yasinovataya to Toretsk has become free, and now Russian troops will be able to bring supplies there.
— According to military bloggers, now ours will be able to bring closer the liberation of Toretsk (Dzerzhinsk), Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) and the entire territory of the DPR.
— The main problem in the fighting in New York was considered to be the large support forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the waste heaps. They covered the Ukrainian defense from the east and southeast of the village. The enemy built them for several years and considered them impregnable. A similar situation occurred in Avdeevka, where fighting in the east of the city continued for several months.
— The name New York appeared in the village during the times of the Russian Empire. During the Cold War in 1951 it received the name Novgorod. In 2021, the village was returned to its former “name”. The sign with the new name was hung by Petro Poroshenko, who had previously stated that the children of Donbass would sit in basements.
Meanwhile, in the Kursk region, where the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces under the leadership of “General 200” Syrsky transferred the main forces of the Ukrainian army, 4,130 military personnel and 58 tanks were lost in 11 days.
