A Turkish citizen, a truck driver, was caught on a road in Mehedinți with 30 kilograms of cocaine hidden in the truck.

The Romanian police announced on Saturday that the 45-year-old man who was driving a truck loaded with goods had drugs inside the tractor. It is about 30 kilograms of cocaine, divided into 33 bags that were placed in two bags.

On Saturday, DIICOT – Mehedinți Territorial Office prosecutors ordered the detention of the man, a Turkish citizen, who is being investigated for international and domestic high-risk drug trafficking. He will be taken to the Mehedinți Court, with a proposal for preventive arrest for 30 days.
