The first vice-president of PNL Ciprian Ciucu stated, on B1 TV, that the fears of Sorin Grindeanu related to “PSD coalition isolation” that a common PNL and USR candidacy would show at the Capital City Hall are not justified as the coalition is a governing agreement, not an election alliance. The mayor of Sector 6 also said that “all the options must be on the table” regarding the elections in Bucharest.
“It is a coalition for an objective assumed in the governance agreement, it is not an electoral alliance. It is a coalition that has an objective, to pass this difficult period for Romania and to relaunch the country economically. That is why we are together. There is no great love between PSD, PNL, USR. It is a pro-European and normal coalition. To be on the table, “said Ciprian Ciucu, quoted by News.ro.
The Liberal thus responded to a statement made on Monday by Sorin Grindeanu who said that a common USR-PNL candidate at the Capital City Hall would mean that “PSD is in a form of coalition”, and in such a scenario there are “very high chances” to break the governing alliance.
A new quarrel in the coalition. Cătălin Drulă: “If the PSD does not respect the people of Bucharest, he may not propose a candidate” / PSD senator: “The branch in Drulău was swollen”
“It does not seem normal to negotiate if you respect the law”
Regarding the date of elections, the Liberal said that the election should be organized at the latest in November, reasoning that compliance with the law cannot be negotiating in the coalition.
“What do you mean, we negotiate whether or not we respect the law? It doesn't matter how I see or what I think.
Ciprian Ciucu was invited to comment that the deputy Cătălin Dula announced his intention to run for the City Hall posting images from a discussion with President Nicușor Dan. Asked if the head of state is expected to take pictures with him, as long as he is taken into account for an PNL candidacy, Ciucu replied:
Ciprian Ciucu, possibly a PNL candidate for the Capital City Hall. Bolojan says that it is best placed in polls between the Liberals tested/ the mayor of Sector 6: “I do not rush”
“If he wants to take pictures of me, I can take pictures of his reign. I have no problems and I do not say it with arrogance. If he wants to be in a context in which we talk about Bucharest … There are closed themes, like the referendum, we must take it to the end.
